Don Macpherson, The Gazette 15 août
« C’est officiel, de son propre aveu écrit, le parti Québécois de Pauline Marois est xénophobe.»
« It’s official. By its own written admission, Pauline Marois’s Parti Québécois is xenophobic. »
« The only difference is that the xenophobia of Pauline Marois’s PQ is based not on ethnicity but on language. »

Michel R. Magnan, The Gazette, 6 août
« Cela fait d’eux des idiots fermés d’esprits et ils ne constituent pas le reflet de la majorité des la population francophone. ( En parlant de ceux qui ne veulent pas parler anglais).
« It makes them narrow-minded idiots and they are certainly not a reflection of the majority of French-speaking citizens in Quebec. »

« Pauline Marois’s ravings during this election campaign are nothing new. Xenophobia has been at the core of the PQ since its inception. In the past, anglophones were solely the target, but over the last few decades with immigration coming from the Middle East and Asia, this intolerant party has found new targets. Marois’s recent attacks on anglos can only serve to incite hatred and intolerance. »
« The PQ’s anti-religious bigotry is unwelcome and destructive, to be sure. »

« Francosupremacy in Montreal, the intolerant PQ policy du jour », National Post, 1er septembre
« À mesure que le PQ se rapproche tranquillement d’une possible majorité, il laisse derrière-lui un parcours destructeur, et méprisant pour les minorités linguistiques et religieuses.»
« As the Parti Québécois scratches and claws its way closer to a possible majority government, they leave behind a path of destruction, and contempt for linguistic and religious minorities. »
« She later backtracked on that proposal, suggesting that only new immigrants be subjected to French exams; but the mere fact that she could consider such a blatantly xenophobic and undemocratic measure is frightening on its own. »
« To achieve Francosupremacy in Montreal, Lisée said the PQ would add an element to immigration forms which would not only ask if applicants could speak French, but also if they lived in French. »
« His ideas are consistent with the Péquiste mentality that French language and culture can only be strengthened by weakening others that pose a “threat.” It is an attitude that is not only blatantly xenophobic, but insulting to Quebecers of all political persuasions who are highly educated, more than capable of learning and living with two, three or even four languages, and more tolerant than those who represent them.

« Quebec’s intolerant separatists »
« It’s hard to know what to make of the narrow-minded nativism of Marois and her party. »

Pauline Marois, fanning the flames of intolerance, The Gazette, 22 août
« Avec moins de 2 semaines à faire à la campagne électorale, Marois attise les flammes de l’intolérance avec toute l’énergie qu’elle peut trouver.»
« Instead, with less than two weeks to go before the Sept. 4 vote, Marois is fanning the flames of intolerance with all the energy she can muster. »
http://www.montrealgazette.com/life/Editorial+Pauline+Marois+fanning+fla...
« The party that believes in the assimilation of minorities rather than what it calls “Canadian multiculturalism” is ambivalent toward such diversity. »
« As models of assimilation, she named PQ candidates Djemila Benhabib and Maka Kotto (though even Kotto, who was born in the African country of Cameroon, fails his party’s new mother-tongue test). »

« But it is not proposing to introduce new restrictions, such as extending Bill 101 to CEGEPs, or to companies with fewer than 50 employees — two measures that language hawks in Quebec are clamouring for. »

« […] the significant minority of xenophobic voters to whom the PQ is appealing with its campaign against “multiculturalism” or diversity. »

« For Marois, Queen Elizabethis emblematic of the rift in cultures between Quebec and the rest of Canada, which puts youths in prison, abolishes the gun registry, forces seasonal workers into lower paid jobs — and speaks English, not French. »

« All this is anglophobic nonsense and misrepresentation. For one thing, the grants do nothing to detract from the prevalence of French in the metropolis. »
http://www.montrealgazette.com/life/Editorial+Anglo+funding+takes+nothin...
« Her ally Mario Beaulieu, president of the small but loudly anglophobic Société Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Montréal, stands faithfully by her side. »

« Marois is showing the exact leadership that quebecers are looking for with regards to minority tolerance. Quebecers are looking for, and demonstrate, zero tolerance for minorities, zero tolerance for English, same zero tolerance for everything that is not Quebec. Zero. It is the type of leadership that is going to get her elected. A province deeply ingrained in hatred needs a target -Marois will give them plenty. All while pointing the finger outward and crying racist. It's the Quebec way. »

« What will it say about Quebec when the premier is unsophisticated and unworldly in her inability to converse. When she goes to China and India to discuss trade with those vital, growing countries, they will be able to speak English since they make a point to learn it, and they will see her as a weak, unsophisticated individual.»
« So Pauline Marois does not feel comfortable enough to debate in English. No problem. Why not reasonably accommodate her by allowing her to bring her pot lids which she could merrily bang together — once when she agrees and twice when she disagrees. »

« So Mrs. Marios is the Canadian version of a frustrated Neo Nazi!! Makes sense she looks like someone the fuhrer would want in his lap!! »
« If you followed the rise of National Socialism and Fascism in Europe you will see it had its roots in socialism but the Nazis turned it into a nationalism of a very sick kind. Is this where Marois is headed? Stay tuned. »

« Quebec is a province of morons. They attract the poor and uneducated from around the world who leech off the taxpayer. In turn, the Quebec government leeches off the Canadian taxpayer. It's a convoluted system that needs a complete overhaul. »
